Link Your House was recognized for the second year in a row, this time in the “Best Retrofits” category for its work on a 162-year old brownstone in New York City.
Atlanta, Georgia – March 24, 2008 - Each year the TechHome division of the Consumer Electronics Association recognizes outstanding work done by custom installers all over the country. Link Your House was recognized for the second year in a row, this time in the “Best Retrofits” category for its work on a 162-year old brownstone in New York City.
The project included the installation of a 1.5 Terrabyte media server, commercial-grade data network, front door intercom and alarm system, 5-zones of distributed wireless audio and an IP-based, 1080P digital entertainment system for three rooms. Installation conditions were extremely difficult in the 5-story, all brick structure.
“Planning was the key to our success,” said Frank DeFilippis, who ran the project for Link Your House. “Frequent communication with the architect, GC and homeowner enabled us to engineer a smooth installation.”
In 2007 CEA recognized Link Your House in the Production Builder category for bringing strategic partnerships and advanced technology to the Carter Grove master-planned community in north Georgia.
